Fan Appreciation Night for Gopher Men's Basketball Sunday

The Golden Gopher men's basketball and the University of Minnesota will host Fan Appreciation Day, Sunday, Feb. 27 before and during its game vs. Indiana at 5 p.m. It's also Senior Night as we honor our eight seniors postgame: Eric Curry, Charlie Daniels, Joey Kern, Luke Loewe, Danny Ogele, Eylijah Stephens, Sean Sutherlin and Payton Willis.
Arrive early to take part in the Fan Fest inside Maturi Pavilion starting at 3 p.m. for a Golden Gophers Fan Shop sale, fun youth activities, inflatables, photos with the Paul Bunyan Axe trophy, and much more! In addition, there will be discounted pricing on food and beverages for a special edition of Gopher Hour.
Those that are attending the pre-game Fan Fest and the game will have multiple chances to receive samples, prizes and special giveaways from Gopher Athletics and Sponsors of Gopher Athletics.
The first 1,000 fans* will receive a branded hat courtesy of Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union. Participating sponsors include KLN Wiley Wallaby, Mystic Lake, Sun Country, KSTP, Blue Cross, Caribou, MN Lottery, Smude's, Hormel, Holiday Gas Stations, Kemps, Courtyard Minneapolis, Planet Fitness, Dominos, and more!
Prizes include Gopher fan items in addition to autographed memorabilia, gear, food, gift cards and more. The fun doesn't stop with tipoff, we will have a ton of prizes in-game for opportunities to win more prizes!
*A limited amount of hats will be at Fan Fest. When the doors of Williams Arena are open at 4pm, hats will then also be located at the Oak St., University Ave, and 4th St. entrances.
**Please note, in order to enter the Fan Fest, fans must have a game ticket.
U OF M STUDENTS:
On top of all the activities around Fan Appreciation Day, the men's basketball is giving away t-shirts to the first 600 Barnyard students and every student will get a pom pom. As students enter, they will be directed to grab a pom pom, as they will act as their raffle ticket to win a specialty gear package from the team. Each pom pom has a specialty colored sticker on it. Then, during the game, we will announce which colored sticker is one of our B1G winners.
