If you were writing a letter to yourself, what would be the 3 points of wisdom regarding being black?
You will only go as far as your effort will take you. It won't be easy and it won't be a quick process but if you are consistently good you will get something great in return.
What does Black History Month mean to you? How has the summer of 2020 changed it?
To me, Black History Month is a celebration of the milestones accomplished and various barriers broken by Black/African-Americans. The summer of 2020 has reminded us that there are more barriers that still need to be broken.
How old and where were you when you heard I have a Dream speech for the 1st time?
5 years old
What would be your theme song for Black History Month?
BJ the Chicago Kid - Feel the Vibe (feat. Anderson .Paak)
How have you been influenced or inspired by other black athletes, role models, or leaders in your life?
Outside of my family and mentors who helped me get to this point in my life, listening to speakers such as Eric Thomas, Les Brown, Lisa Nichols (to name a few), I've been inspired by their perseverance through personal and professional challenges they faced.
