Schmitz Named to Walter Camp Preseason All-American Team

Center has played in 44 career games, making 23 starts
The Walter Camp Football Foundation recently announced its 2022 Preseason All-American Teams and one Gopher was recognized.
Minnesota center John Michael Schmitz was named to the Second Team Offense.
Schmitz, who will be a preseason favorite for the Rimington Award, was named All-Big Ten Second Team last season by the conference coaches. The anchor of the offensive line has played in 44 career games and has made 23 starts at center.
Minnesota is scheduled to open the season at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 1 against New Mexico State on BTN. Season tickets are on sale now.
