USCHO Ranks Gophers Second in Preseason Poll

Minnesota received two first place votes.
MINNEAPOLIS -- The University of Minnesota comes in at No. 2 in the USCHO.com Preseason Division I Women's Poll, U.S. College Hockey Online announced on Monday.
The USCHO.com Poll is compiled weekly and consists of 15 voters, including coaches and women's hockey writers from across the country. USCHO.com provides in-depth coverage of college hockey.
The WCHA leads the way with four teams in the preseason rankings as No. 1 Ohio State, No. 3 Wisconsin and No. 5 Minnesota Duluth join the Gophers among the nation's preseason top 15.
The 26th season of Gopher Women's Hockey begins on Oct. 7 at Ridder Arena vs. Bemidji State. Minnesota is set to host top-ranked Ohio State and third-ranked Wisconsin in early February. Single-game and season tickets are on sale now at Gophersports.com.
