Gophers Enter Rankings at No. 21 in AP Poll and No. 23 in Coaches Poll

Minnesota, which is 4-0, has outscored its opponents 183-24 this season
The University of Minnesota football team entered the AP Top 25 rankings today at No. 21 after starting the season 4-0. The Gophers most recent win was a 34-7 Big Ten road victory at Michigan State on Saturday. Minnesota, which was last ranked by the AP on Oct. 18, 2020 (Gophers were also No. 21), has outscored its opponents 183-24 this season.
Today's ranking marks the 175th time that Minnesota has been ranked in the AP Poll, which debuted in 1936 with the Gophers as the No. 1 team in the nation.
Minnesota was also ranked No. 23 in the Coaches Poll, which also came out on Sunday.
Minnesota will celebrate homecoming on Saturday, Oct. 1 when Purdue visits Huntington Bank Stadium for an 11 a.m. game. The Big Ten home-opener for the Gophers will be broadcast on ESPN2 and the Gopher Radio Network. Tickets are still available.
