MINNEAPOLIS – Fifth-year forward Taylor Heise and freshman forward Madison Kaiser have been named WCHA weekly award winners on Monday afternoon after stellar performances in a series sweep at Bemidji State.

Taylor Heise earned her fourth WCHA honor of the season and the seventh WCHA Forward of the Week award of her career. The captain tallied five points (2g-3a) over the weekend to extend her lead in the national scoring race. Heise's four points on Saturday (2g-2a) marked her team-leading 12th multi-point game this season. The fifth year's NCAA-leading third shorthanded goal of the season on Friday earned her the fifth spot on Sportscenter's Top-10 plays of the night. She now ranks fourth in program history in career shorthanded goals (8). The Lake City, Minn., native tallied a point in each series to extend her point streak to 10 games.

Madison Kaiser is named WCHA Rookie of the Week for the second time in her career after recording four assists over the weekend.
