Taylor Heise Named WCHA Forward of the Month

The fifth-year forward scored nine goals in eight games in February.
MINNEAPOLIS – Fifth-year forward Taylor Heise has been named February's WCHA Forward of the Month by the conference on Monday afternoon.
Taylor Heise is named WCHA Forward of the Month for the fourth time in her career after a dominant month of February in which she tallied nine goals and 15 points in eight games. Heise led Minnesota in both goals and points, lighting the lamp in six-of-eight games in the month with three multi-goal games. The Gopher captain capped off the month with a four-goal weekend in the first round of the WCHA Tournament.
On Friday, the Lake City, Minn., native became the first Gopher to record back-to-back 60 point seasons since Hannah Brandt and Dani Cameranesi. On Saturday, she skated in her 169th career game – setting a new record for the most games-played in program history.
