Landfair, Shaffmaster to Train with U.S. National Team

Camp is March 12-18 in Anaheim, Calif.
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Two Minnesota Golden Gophers are among the 18 collegiate volleyball players who are set to train with U.S. Women's National Team with Head Coach Karch Kiraly and his staff from March 12-18.
Junior outside Taylor Landfair and senior setter Melani Shaffmaster will represent the Maroon and Gold. Both made the All-Big Ten First Team in 2022, with Landfair being named the Big Ten Player of the Year and an AVCA First Team All-American.
The training is taking place at the Anaheim National Team Training Center in Anaheim, Calif. After training for the week, the group will scrimmage on Saturday, March 18.
"We are thrilled at the opportunity to work with this group of student-athletes for 2023 Spring Training Camp," Kiraly said. "With the LA 2028 Olympic Games less than six years away, who knows? Some women from this group could be repping USA Volleyball!"
