Minatee is one of 20 players who were selected

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Gophers freshman middle blocker Calissa Minatee was one of 20 athletes selected for the 2023 Girls U19 NORCECA Pan American Cup Roster, USA Volleyball announced.

Twelve players from this group will be chosen to compete at the 2023 Girls U19 NORCECA Pan American Cup on May 7-15 in Ciudad de Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico. The team will train April 30-May 6 at the Anaheim National Team Training Center.

Minnesota head coach Keegan Cook will serve as the U19 team's head coach.

"We are thrilled to welcome this specific group of athletes to the U19 National Team," Cook said. "The team training for the Pan American Cup is comprised of a diverse range of ages and national team experience. What they do share for certain is a bright future with USA Volleyball."

The 2023 Girls U19 Pan American Cup was a late addition to the NORCECA calendar and USA Volleyball looks forward to participating in both the Pan Am Cup and the 2023 FIVB Girls U19 World Championship.

The roster for the 2023 FIVB Girls U19 World Championship (Aug. 1-11 in Croatia and Hungary) will be determined later this year.
