Pease Earns NFCA Pitcher of the Week Accolades

This is the first time Pease has received the honor
MINNEAPOLIS – Following a Big Ten Pitcher of the Week three-peat, fifth year senior Autumn Pease has been named NFCA Pitcher of the Week for the first time in her career.
Pease pitched two shutout gems over the weekend against Michigan, helping the Golden Gophers collect their first full season sweep over the Wolverines since 1983 and first series win since 2012.
Continuing her streak of 11 consecutive wins in the circle for the Golden Gophers, Pease pitched two complete games, allowing seven hits, and tossing 14 strikeouts over the weekend. The fifth year senior leads the conference in wins (25) and strikeouts (243), nationally she ranks fourth in wins and fifth in strikeouts.
This is the first time a Minnesota pitcher has won the weekly honor since Amber Fiser on May 7, 2019.
The Division I Louisville Slugger/NFCA Player and Wilson/NFCA Pitcher of the Week are voted on by the NFCA Division I Top 25 Poll Committee.
