Gophers Sign Lindmark for Upcoming Season

MINNEAPOLIS - Golden Gopher softball head coach Piper Ritter has announced the addition of transfer Cassie Lindmark to Minnesota's roster for the upcoming season. Lindmark joins The 'U' after graduating at Penn State.Â
While at Penn State, Lindmark made 83 starts and appearances for the Nittany Lions, averaging .374, including seven home runs and 39 RBI. As a junior, she led Penn State with 64 hits and a career best .400 batting average, launching 16 doubles and seven home runs.
Notably, Lindmark received All-Big Ten second team, NFCA Great Lakes All-Region third team, and Easton/NFCA All-American Scholar team nods with the Nittany Lions.Â
Lindmark hails from Lyons, Ill., and is a Marist High School graduate. She lettered all four years with the RedHawks, earning all-conference as a freshman and sophomore, along with all-state accolades a sophomore. In 2018, she received Golden Glove recognition.Â
She is the daughter of Scott and Sandra Lindmark and has two older brothers, Mark and Nick.
