Tyler Nubin, Chris Autman-Bell and Brevyn Spann-Ford will meet the media on July 27 in Indianapolis

University of Minnesota standouts Chris Autman-Bell, Tyler Nubin and Brevyn Spann-Ford will represent the Gophers at the annual Big Ten Football Media Days later this month in Indianapolis.

The two-day event will take place on July 26-27 at Lucas Oil Stadium and the Gophers – along with head coach P.J. Fleck – will meet with the media on July 27.

Autman-Bell is entering his seventh season of college football in 2023. He has played in 47 games and has made 125 catches (12th all-time in school history) for 1,970 yards (ninth all-time in school history) and 13 touchdowns (tied for 13th all-time in school history). Autman-Bell has made at least one catch in 41 straight games that he has competed in.

He redshirted in 2017 and then played in 2018 and 2019. He also played during the 2020 season, which was shortened due to the Covid-19 pandemic enabling every student-athlete to receive an extra year of eligibility. Autman-Bell then competed in 2021 and played the first three games of the 2022 season before suffering a season-ending injury, which resulted in receiving a medical exemption and seventh year of eligibility.

Nubin, who attended the even last year as well, was named All-Big Ten Second Team last season after he made 55 tackles (37 solo) and two tackles for loss. He also recorded four interceptions, broke up three passes and forced one fumble. The dynamic safety, who is receiving some preseason All-American buzz, has played in 43 career games for Minnesota. He has eight interceptions, broke up 15 passes and has made 154 tackles.

Spann-Ford is also receiving preseason All-American honors and is regarded as the most complete tight end in college football. The 6-7, 270-pound Minnesota native started all 13 games last season and led the team with 42 receptions and he was second with 497 receiving yards. He also caught two touchdowns, while also serving as a capable blocker in the run game. He has played in 48 career games and has made 70 catches for 822 yards and five touchdowns.
