Nubin, Spann-Ford Named to Big Ten Preseason Honors List

Minnesota is one of only two schools with two individuals on the list
Minnesota standouts Tyler Nubin and Brevyn Spann-Ford were named to the 2023 Big Ten Football Preseason Honors list today.
The annual list features 10 players – five from each division – and is voted on by members of the media. Ibrahim is the only running back on the list.
Nubin was named All-Big Ten Second Team last season after he made 55 tackles (37 solo) and two tackles for loss. He also recorded four interceptions, broke up three passes and forced one fumble. The dynamic safety, who is receiving some preseason All-American buzz, has played in 43 career games for Minnesota. He has eight interceptions, broke up 15 passes and has made 154 tackles.
Spann-Ford started all 13 games last season and led the team in receptions (42) and was second in receiving yards (497) and receiving touchdowns (2). He was named All-Big Ten Honorable Mention in 2022 by the league's coaches and media.Â
