The former Golden Gopher will be competing with ŽFK Spartak Subotica in Subotica, Serbia

MINNEAPOLIS - Former Golden Gopher defender Makenzie Langdok has signed her first pro contract with ŽFK Spartak Subotica in Subotica, Serbia. The team has won ten national titles, including nine in-a-row from 2011 to 2019. It has also appeared in the UEFA Women's Champions League.

Langdok competed for the Maroon and Gold from 2017 to 2021 as a consistent leader in the backline. The St. Michael, Minn., native racked up 2,724 minutes with 61 appearances and 30 starts. Offensively, Langdok recorded five goals and two assists throughout her tenure with Minnesota.

Through her five seasons, Langdok led Minnesota to a Big Ten Tournament championship in 2018 and was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week twice and United Soccer Coaches All-North Region Third Team in 2021 as a graduate.

Following a successful career with the Golden Gophers, Langdok was an inaugural member of Minnesota Aurora, joining the team in 2022. She competed in 26 of 27 games and served as one of the first team captains. Over two seasons, the defender had 20 points and six goals helping lead Aurora to back-to-back Heartland Division Champions and the Central Conference Championship in 2023.
