Spirit Squad Welcomes Back Alumni for Homecoming

This year, the Spirit Squad hosted over 100 alumni for Homecoming events, representing former athletes from the Dance, Cheer, Hockey Cheer, and Mascot teams. Kicking off the Homecoming weekend, alumni representing over 60 years of the program's history and pride walked in the parade down University Avenue.

Many also joined the Hockey Cheer team at 3M at Mariucci Arena for the Gopher Men's Hockey home opener that night! The festivities continued on the field at Saturday's football game against the Maryland Terrapins, where the alumni helped cheer the Gophers on to a win. It is always a pleasure hosting our Spirit Squad Alumni and embracing the history and tradition this program provides.Â
