Gophers Announce 2025 Spring Tennis Schedule

MINNEAPOLIS - The University of Minnesota tennis program released its schedule for the upcoming 2025 spring season. The Golden Gophers will open with 12 nonconference matches beginning in January before kicking off Big Ten play in late February.
The Maroon and Gold will open their spring season with a six-game road swing, starting Jan. 18 in Fort Myers, Fla., against Florida Gulf Coast and Middle Tennessee, before heading to Boca Raton to face Florida Atlantic on Jan. 19. They will wrap up the trip with three more road matches: against Air Force and Drake on Feb. 1, followed by Iowa State on Feb. 2.
Minnesota will make its 2025 home debut with three straight matches, hosting Missouri on Feb. 7, followed by Colorado State and St. Thomas on Feb. 8. The Gophers will then head south to face East Tennessee State and UAB on Feb. 15, followed by Alabama on Feb. 16.
Minnesota opens Big Ten play on Feb. 28 with a home match against Wisconsin. The team then wraps up nonconference play at home with matches against North Dakota and Boise State on March 1.
Minnesota continues Big Ten play in March, hosting Illinois on March 7 and Northwestern on March 9. The Gophers then hit the road to face Iowa on March 21 and Nebraska on March 23. They wrap up the month at home with matches against Rutgers on March 28 and Maryland on March 30.
The final month of the regular season begins with the team traveling to Los Angeles to face USC on April 5 and UCLA on April 6. The Gophers then return home to host Indiana on April 11 and Purdue on April 14. The Big Ten regular season wraps up with two road matches: at Penn State on April 18 and at Ohio State on April 20.
The Big Ten Championships run from April 24-27, in Ojai, Calif. Those that qualify in this tournament will then be sent to the NCAA Championships from May 15-18, hosted by Baylor, which will conclude the 2024-25 season.
The 2025 spring season will mark the second year for head coach Lois Arterberry and assistant coach Anastasia Pennington coaching in the Big Ten.
