Football Places 11 in NFF Hampshire Honor Society

Eleven members of the Gopher football team have been announced as members of the National Football Foundation's (NFF) 2024 Hampshire Honor Society. 

Kyler Baugh, Tyler Cooper, Mark Crawford, Nick Kallerup, Cole Kramer, Cody Lindenberg, Tyler Nubin, Logan Richter, Karter Shaw, Brevyn Spann-Ford and Danny Striggow all received the recognition.

To qualify for the Hampshire Honor Society, a student-athlete must be a senior who will graduate this spring/summer, and just completed his final year of playing eligibility in 2023, or a graduated player who has been out of high school at least three years. In addition, they must have attained a minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.2 and have been a starter or significant contributor throughout the 2023 season.

The Gophers were one of 11 FBS programs this year to have at least 10 honorees, joining Auburn, BYU, Cal, Duke, Kansas State, Nebraska, Northwestern, South Alabama, USC and Wyoming.

Minnesota is also just one of 23 colleges and universities that have had at least one player in all 18 years of the NFF Hampshire Honor Society (2007-24). The other schools are BYU, Brown, Bucknell, Columbia, Dartmouth, Dayton, Iowa, Johns Hopkins (Md.), Kentucky, Lafayette, North Dakota, North Dakota State, Penn State, Redlands (Calif.), Saint John's (Minn.), SMU, South Dakota State, Wayne State (Mich.), West Virginia, Wingate (N.C.), Yale and Youngstown State.

This season, NFF Hampshire Honor Society recognized a record 1,989 players from 339 schools.
