Gophers Ready for Big Ten Championship

MINNEAPOLIS -- The University of Minnesota women's golf team is one day away from postseason play at the Big Ten Championship as they travel to Havre de Grace, Mary., to compete at the Bulle Rock Golf Course. Last year, the 'U' finished in ninth place shooting a 902 (+50).
The three-day, 54-hole, stroke play event will have a 7:30 a.m. CT start in round one on Friday as well as round two on Saturday. The final round is set for 7:00 a.m. CT tee-off on Sunday, Apr. 21st.

Lineup:
Representing the Maroon and Gold are sophomore Isabella McCauley, graduate Grace Curran, senior Hailey Loh, graduate Megan Furtney, graduate Emma Carpenter, and sophomore Junrui (Ruby) Chi.
The Field:
Meeting the Gophers in Havre de Grace are fellow Big Ten teams. The 14-team field includes No. 9 Northwestern, No. 30 Ohio State, No. 32 Michigan State, No. 33 Purdue, No. 37 Michigan, No. 41 Maryland, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Nebraska, Penn State, Rutgers, and Wisconsin.
The Course:
Play will be held at the 6,314 yard, par-72 Bulle Rock Golf Course. Designed by Pete Dye, the course is adjacent to the Chesapeake Bay and occupies 234-acres.

Barring final rankings, the NCAA regionals are set for May 6-8. More information to come soon.
