Minnesota opens the season on August 29 at home against North Carolina

Athlon Sports recently released its 2024 All-America and All-Big Ten teams and 11 Gophers – five on defense, four on offense and two on special teams – were recognized.

Leading the way was offensive lineman Aireontae Ersery who was tabbed as a Second-Team All-America and First-Team All-Big Ten. Joining Ersery as a First-Team All-Big Ten selection was reigning Big Ten Kicker of the Year Dragan Kesich. 

Receiver Daniel Jackson and running back Darius Taylor were named Second-Team All-Big Ten Offense, while defensive lineman Jah Joyner and defensive back Justin Walley were slotted on Second-Team All-Big Ten Defense. 

Linebacker Cody Lindenberg was Minnesota's lone student-athlete to make an appearance on the Third-Team All-Big Ten defense, while four Gophers – offensive lineman Quinn Carroll, defensive lineman Danny Striggow, defensive back Jack Henderson and punter Mark Crawford – were recognized as Fourth-Team All-Big Ten. 

Minnesota opens the season at home on Thursday, August 29 against North Carolina. Season tickets are on sale now and so is the popular Gopher Pass.
