Crawford Named a Nominee for AFCA Good Works Team

The final 22-member team and honorary coach are selected by a voting panel of former AFCA Good Works Team members, current and former head coaches and journalists who look for exceptional leadership on and off the football field
University of Minnesota punter Mark Crawford is a nominee for the 2024 American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Good Works Team. Crawford is one of 178 nominees from across the country.
For the last year, Crawford has dedicated his time and efforts to giving back to the community. He has participated in 19 community service events dating back to June 2023. He is extremely active with Team Impact and has also work with HopeKids, visited local hospitals, helped the Girl Scouts sell cookies, participated in the team's annual turkey drive, volunteered at a local radio station's radiothon and participated in Reading4Research and NMDP (formerly known as Be The Match).
Crawford was named All-Big Ten Honorable Mention in 2023 and is a three-time Academic All-Big Ten nominee. He was also named CSC Academic All‐District and CSC Academic All-America Finalist in 2023.

About the AFCA Good Works Team
Established in 1992, the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team recognizes college football athletes for their unwavering commitment to community service and their "good works" off the field. This year's 178 nominees champion causes including mental health awareness, youth mentorship, hunger relief, domestic abuse prevention, and many more. In addition to being actively involved with a charitable organization or service group, each player must also maintain strong academic standing to be considered for a spot on the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team.
