Brosmer Named Candidate for Golden Arm Award

Minnesota opens the season against North Carolina at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 29 at Huntington Bank Stadium
University of Minnesota quarterback Max Brosmer has been named a candidate for the Golden Arm Award by the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Educational Foundation, Inc. The award annually recognizes the top senior or upperclassman quarterback set to graduate with their class.
Brosmer is in his first season with the Gophers after a terrific five years at New Hampshire. He played in 36 career games for New Hampshire and completed 760-of-1,225 passes for 8,713 yards and 70 touchdowns. He also rushed 191 times for 263 and 10 touchdowns.
In 2023, Brosmer completed 294 passes for 3,464 yards and 29 touchdowns, while also rushing 57 times for 126 yards and three scores. He led the FCS in passing yards (3,464), passing yards per game (313.55) and total offense (325.0 yards/game) and ranked second in passing touchdowns (29), points responsible for (208) and points responsible for per game (18.9). He was named an AP Second Team FCS All-American and was a Walter Payton Award Finalist.
