Pease graduated back in 2023 from the University of Minnesota, but her softball didn't end there
Autumn Pease left her mark on the Minnesota softball program upon her graduation. The 2023 Big Ten Softball Pitcher of the Year is one of the Gopher Greats that competed in the circle. She may have finished her collegiate career two seasons ago, but Pease has still kept competing professionally. Since being drafted by the Texas Smoke during the 2023 WPF (Women's Professional Fastpitch) Draft, Pease has won two WPF Championship titles and was named WPF Pitcher of the Year during her rookie season.
Gopher Sports: How far did your team go this season?
Autumn Pease: "We won the WPF Regular season and WPF Championship Series."
GS: What was your most memorable game moment?
AP: "I threw a no hitter in the championship series against the Costal Bend Tidal Waves."
GS: What was your favorite team memory from this season?
AP: "After winning the championship, our team went to Disney World."
GS: Where were some places you traveled?
AP: "Miami for a team vacation and we stayed and competed all of our games in Texas :)"
GS: How did Gopher Softball help you accomplish getting to the professional level?
AP: "I learned so much from Coach Ritter! I learned how to trust the things that are working for me. Even on some of your worst days, things just work out. I also learned how to be a teammate to everyone. You don't always have to like everyone and get along off the field, but on the field you should never know!"
