Kate Childers, Sarah Martin, Mariah Nguyen and Freya Jupp were all honored
MINNEAPOLIS - Kate Childers, Sarah Martin, Mariah Nguyen and Freya Jupp were named to the 2025 CSC Academic All-District Women's Soccer Team.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Women's Soccer Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately honors student-athletes in four divisions: NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Junior Kate Childers earns the award for the second season donning the Maroon and Gold. This past season, Childers earned Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week honors after scoring the game-winning goal against Marquette. The Fenton, Michigan, native scored another goal at Nebraska and assisted on Freya Jupp's goal against Rutgers.
Earning her second postseason honor is goalkeeper Sarah Martin. A Champlin, Minn., native, Martin earned the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award this past season. She earned Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Week accolades on Oct. 13 after posting a career-high 12 saves while shutting out No. 9 UCLA at home. That same weekend, she added six saves against USC, marking 18 saves marking the most she has ever recorded in a two-game span.
Transfer Mariah Nguyen earns the honor for the first time in her collegiate career. This past season, Nguyen saw action in all 16 games, making nine starts. The forward scored a brace against NIU and added a goal against Washington on the road.
Earning the honor for the second time in her career is senior transfer Freya Jupp. Hailing from Portsmouth, England, Jupp earned Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week honors after scoring both goals in Minnesota's 2-0 win over Brown on the road. Jupp started 16 games this season for the Gophers, scoring two goals and tallying an assist.
