Big Ten Announces Home and Away Opponents for 2025

Minnesota will play Purdue, Rutgers and Wisconsin twice
CHICAGO, Ill. -- The University of Minnesota volleyball team will once again play 20 Big Ten regular-season conference games during the 2025 season, the league office announced Thursday morning. The Golden Gophers will face three conference opponents twice next year, with another 14 games in either a home or road contest.Â
Minnesota will play the following three schools at home and on the road next season: Purdue, Rutgers and Wisconsin.
The 'U' will welcome Illinois, Michigan State, Nebraska, Ohio State, Penn State, USC and UCLA to Maturi Pavilion next season. Their road-only games are Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, Northwestern, Oregon and Washington.
All times, dates and television logistics will be released at a later date.
Minnesota heads into the 2025 season after making the Round of 32 for the second straight year but improving to a 21-11 (13-7 Big Ten) record. The Gophers tallied two top-10 ranked wins in 2024, including their first win over a No. 1 ranked team since 2019. All-American and First Team All-Big Ten outside Julia Hanson returns to pace the Gophers while five newcomers (three freshmen, two transfers) were added this spring.
