MINNEAPOLIS - Junior Amaya Battle and sophomore Grace Grocholski have earned All-Big Ten honors, announced Tuesday by the conference office.
Battle and Grocholski were both named Honorable Mentions while Maggie Czinano was named Minnesota's Sportsmanship Honoree for the second consecutive season.
For the second consecutive season, Battle has been recognized among the best in the Big Ten. The junior guard is the only Big Ten women's basketball player to average 11.9 points, 4.2 assists, and 5.1 rebounds per game. Battle ranks fourth in the Big Ten in total assists (126) and has reached double figures in scoring in her last 16 of 18 games, leading Minnesota with four 20+ point games. Notably, she set a season high 25 points against Michigan (Jan. 22, 2025).
For the second straight year, Grocholski has earned All-Big Ten Honors. The sophomore made the jump from All-Freshman Team last season to Honorable Mention in 2025. This season, Grocholski has set a team, career, and season high 27 points twice (Northwestern, Purdue). The North Prairie, Wis., native leads Minnesota in scoring, averaging 12.4 points per game with 373 total points on the year. Last week after a career performance against the Boilermakers (27 points, 8-12 FG, 3-5 3PT) she was named to the Big Ten Weekly Honor Roll.
In representing the Gophers for their Sportsmanship Award honoree, Czinano caps off her senior season with a well-deserved award from the Big Ten. It marks the second time the Watertown, Minn., native has been honored by the conference. This season, Czinano has played in 20 games.
