University of Minnesota head men's basketball coach Niko Medved has announced that Langston Reynolds (Denver, Colo.) will join the Golden Gopher program for the 2025-26 season. Reynolds joins the Gophers after three years at Northern Colorado.

"We're excited to add Langston to our team," Medved said. "Langston is a physical, athletic guard who plays well in transition, can get downhill and has good rebounding ability. He also has a great personality and we're thrilled to have him in the Maroon and Gold."

Reynolds, a 6-foot, 4-inch guard, skyrocketed last season with Northern Colorado, averaging 16 points and 5.6 rebounds en route to First Team All-Big Sky honors in the 2024-25 season. He also finished the 2024-25 campaign as one of the nation's most efficient shooters. Reynolds ranked 20th nationally and first in the Big Sky in field goal percentage (59.3) as he aided the Bears to a share of the Big Sky regular season title and the program's first-ever NIT bid. His 16 ppg ranked second on the team and sixth in the Big Sky, while his 5.6 rebounds ranked eighth in the league and tied for first on the team. Reynolds also received NABC All-District Second Team. He also was named the Big Sky Player of the Week three times last season. In the 2023-24 season,  Reynolds appeared in 33 games and averaged 6.2 points, 1.3 assists, 2.0 rebounds, and 0.5 steals per game. As a freshman in the 2022-23 season, he played in 25 games and scored 42 points.
