Parking & Transportation

Single Game Parking
Single game parking is available day of game only and can be purchased at each designated parking area. The recommended single game parking areas are Lot 37 and the 4th Street Parking Ramp. View map of parking areas around Williams Arena.

Season Parking
Season parking is available to season ticket holders in the University Ave. Ramp. Please contact the Gopher Ticket Sales and Service Office for more information via email (fans@gopherfanrelations.com) or by phone (1-800-U-GOPHER).
Transit Information
  • Metro Transit - Visit metrotransit.com/gopher-sports for maps, schedules, and other transit information!
  • Minnesota Valley Transit Authority - Visit mvta.com for transit information from the south metro.
ADA Parking
  • ADA parking is available in each of the available parking facilities surrounding Williams Arena. Individuals must purchase a gameday parking pass for the lot/ramp in addition to possessing a government issued ADA placard to park in one of the designated ADA spaces. Individuals are encouraged to purchase a parking pass in the University Avenue Ramp for single game ADA parking. If the University Avenue Ramp is sold out, alternative options are the 4th Street Ramp followed by Oak Street Ramp.

Fan Relations / Tickets

Mobile Ticketing
Gopher Athletics has transitioned to mobile tickets for all sports beginning in the Fall of 2021.  Fans may access tickets via the Minnesota Gophers Official App, a link in their email, or by logging on to their account at GopherSports.com/myaccount. More information on mobile tickets can be found HERE.
Student Admission
U of M students receive FREE admission to Gopher Women's Basketball games using the Gopher Student Sports Pass. Students should log in or activate their account ON A SMART PHONE to download their FREE Gopher Student Sports Pass to their phone's wallet to gain access to regular season matches at Williams Arena. Gopher Student Sports Passes cannot be downloaded on a desktop.
Will Call
Event will call can be picked up starting 1.5 hours prior to game time at the Oak Street Lobby ticket office in Williams Arena. During non-event hours will call can be picked up Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm at the 3M Arena at Mariucci Ticket Office.

Acceptable Identification

All persons picking up will call tickets must have a valid government issued ID or a valid U of M ID.  No tickets will be allowed to be picked up without proper ID.

Third-Party Will Call Policy

Tickets may be left at will call by a third party.  In order to do this contact information must be left with the will called tickets in the case of any disputes. 

Accessible Arrangements
If you need assistance during the game, please ask any event staff representative. Service animals must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered, unless these devices interfere with the service animal's work or the individual's disability prevents using these devices. In that case, the individual must maintain control of the animal through voice, signal, or other effective controls.

Ticket Sales

All patrons must have a reserved ticket for a disabled seating area.  For ADA-accessible seating tickets, contact the Gopher Sales & Service at 1-800-U-GOPHER. Guests are strongly encouraged to call in advance of the game to ensure availability. To switch regular seating tickets to disabled seating tickets on game day, please visit the Gopher Ticket Office located in the Oak Street Lobby. Changes on game day will only be made if disabled seating tickets are still available.

Seating Areas

Locations (All locations are at the bottom of the section unless otherwise noted): 110, 114, 115, 116, 117, 118, 102 (top), 120 (top and bottom).

Parking

Guests using accessible parking are encouraged to park in the University Ave. Ramp on game day.

Drop-Off Area Lost or Stolen Tickets

The arranged drop-off point for any guests with disabilities is located in the curve in front of the University Ave. Ramp or on the apron of Williams Arena.

Lost or Stolen Tickets
Tickets that are either lost or stolen will not be refunded. If you purchased your tickets through the Gopher Ticket Office, you can have your ticket reprinted at either box office location at Williams Arena on gameday.

Arena Policies / General Procedures / Entry

Public Gates (open 1 hour prior to tipoff)
  • Oak Street Entrance - located off of Oak Street on the east side of the arena and hosts the public Will Call, the High School Coaches/Recruit Pass Gate, as well as the Player Pass Gate
  • University Avenue Entrance - located on the south side of the arena across the street from University Avenue Ramp and is the student ticket entrance
  • Maturi Pavilion Entrance - located on the west side of the arena next to lot 58
Club Room/Suites (open 1.5 hours prior to tipoff)
  • Oak Street Entrance - located off of Oak Street on the east side of the arena
Elevators
  • There are 3 elevators located throughout Williams Arena
    • The elevator to the Clubroom is located behind section 102/103 near the southern portion the Oak Street Entrance (the east entrance)
    • The elevator to Barnlofts 1–9 is located behind section 105
    • The elevator to Barnlofts 10–18 is located behind sections 117
  • Priority is given to guests requiring extra assistance
Building Policies
  • University of Minnesota, including Williams Arena, is a smoke-free campus
  • No re-entry
  • All patrons and staff will be subject to search upon entry
  • No outside food or beverage allowed in Williams Arena. All concession stands at Williams Arena are cashless
  • Children 2 years of age or under do not need a ticket
  • There is no bag check available at Williams Arena
  • All students possessing a student ticket must have a University of Minnesota student ID
  • Access to premium areas is restricted to individuals with tickets or passes to the Club Room or Suites
  • All tickets will be electronically scanned to verify authenticity. Tickets that cannot be verified will be referred to the main ticket office
Prohibited Items
  • Animals (except service animals)
  • Backpacks, luggage, grocery, duffle bags, large bags, large purses, cinch bags, computer bags, briefcases, fanny packs, and any other bag that does not meet the bag policy*
  • Balloons
  • Balls (beach balls, footballs, baseballs, etc.)
  • Banners or signs exceeding 24” x 36”
  • Boxes, wrapped gifts or items
  • Camcorders and tripods
  • Cameras with lenses over six inches long
  • Cans, bottles, and thermoses (exception: fans may bring an empty clear plastic bottle into the venue. Water fountains are available within the facility).
  • Chairbacks with structural metal frames or that attach to benches, soft seat cushions less than 2” thick without framing are permitted
  • Coolers of any kind, including small soft packs
  • Externally-Powered Heated Blankets**
  • Fireworks
  • Illegal drugs
  • Laptops, iPads, tablets, video cameras, or any large electronic devices
  • Laser pointers
  • Markers (permanent) and/or paint
  • Noisemaking devices
  • Objects that can be used as a missile or projectile
  • Offensive or profane signage
  • Outside food and drinks
  • Pepper spray or mace (aerosol or gel)
  • Smoking devices (vape pens, e-cigars, tank systems, etc.)
  • Sticks, selfie sticks, and flag poles
  • Strollers
  • Tobacco products
  • Umbrellas
  • Weapons
  • All other items deemed prohibited at the discretion of stadium management
All fans and items are subject to screening upon entry by security personnel

Bags needed for medical purposes will be permitted. Gate Supervisor must screen the bag, and then it will be tagged with the proper medical tag.

* The only bags allowed in must not exceed 12" x 12".

** Heated blankets and/or seat-cushions (powered by an internally-enclosed battery ONLY) will be permitted after confirming that these items comply with all guidelines and are clear of any other prohibited items.

Venue personnel has the right to turn away any items at their discretion

Sportsmanship
  • The Big Ten Conference, University of Minnesota, and the Golden Gophers encourage good sportsmanship towards officials, opposing teams, and fans at all events.
United Are We: Fan Code of Conduct
  • The University of Minnesota strives to create an inclusive and respectful environment for all fans, coaches and student-athletes in attendance at each event. Fans, coaches and student-athletes should not be subjected to hostile or discriminatory language or actions while attending or competing at Gopher Athletics events. No one should be harassed for their gender, race, religious belief, national origin, disability or sexual orientation. Racist, homophobic or transphobic language will not be tolerated. The University reserves the right to remove any individuals from University facilities at their discretion. The University of Minnesota appreciates the cooperation and support of everyone attending Gopher Athletics events.
Medical Emergency
  • Notify the nearest usher or staff member
  • Do not touch or move the injured or attempt first aid unless properly trained
  • First Aid booth is located on the south concourse behind Section 110
Concessions
All concession stands at Williams Arena are cashless.

There are an assortment of concession stands located throughout Williams Arena on the first level. Snack Shack stands, which are operated by Aramark, are located in the concourse area behind Sections 104 and 109. A wide selection of food is available – including hot dogs, nachos, pretzels, and more.

There is also a Kemps Ice Cream stand located in the corner adjacent to Section 107, Be Graceful behind Section 105, Maui Wowi behind Section 101, Drew’s Popcorn behind section 102, and a Dominos stand located on the corner adjacent to section 101.
Lost & Found
All lost and found items can be brought to any Event Staff member during the game. After the game, all lost and found items are brought to the facilities operations office at the Daily Entrance of Williams Arena. Their phone number is 612-624-8189.
ATM
ATMs are located behind sections 108 and 109.
Posters
Posters can be picked up at the promotions table located on the concourse behind section 106.
Alcohol Sales Information
Beer, Wine, Hard Seltzer, Ready to Drink (RTD) cans, and Batch Cocktails are available for purchase throughout Williams Arena. Purchases must be made prior to the end of halftime. 

Full-service bar is available in the Club Room as well as bottle service within the Barn Lofts featuring a variety of liquor options

Fans must be 21 or older to purchase alcohol and there is a two (2) drink maximum, per Valid ID, per transaction.

Valid Minnesota papers and former state driver's license/ID Card will not be accepted as proof of age for alcohol purchases.

Digital copies of ID's will not be accepted.

Acceptable forms of identification:
  • A Valid US State issued Driver's License or ID Card
  • A Military ID Card issued by the US Department of Defense
  • A Valid Passport or Passport Card issued by the United States or a Foreign Country
  • A Minnesota Tribal ID Card which includes a photo, Date of Birth and Expiration Date
  • A Valid Canadian Province Identification Card or Drivers License
Medical Emergency & First Aid
