A member of the University’s first women’s hockey team, Nadine Muzerall helped the young program capture a pair of national titles.

The Ontario-born Muzerall had a 32-goal, 32-assist freshman Gopher season to become a Women’s Hockey News second team All-American, a Patty Kazmaier Award Finalist and Gopher MVP.

A sophomore in 1998-99, Muzerall was a second team AWCHA All-American, helping her team place third at the AWCHA National Championship. She ranked in the nation’s top 20 in seven offensive categories.

Minnesota won its first AWCHA National Championship in 1999-2000. Muzerall scored the game-winning goal in the title game, earning all-tournament honors. Her season numbers were 49-28—77, and she led the nation in goals (49), power-play goals (16), power-play points (27) and game-winning goals (9). She set school records with five goals and seven points in a single game, and was named First Team All-WCHA and Minnesota team MVP.

As a senior, Muzerall helped the Gophers to their first WCHA Regular Season Championship, notching 28 goals and 18 assists and, for the second time, becoming a Patty Kazmaier Award finalist.

Muzerall earned a degree in family social science.
