When the Golden Gophers posted their undefeated 1933-35 football streak and claimed two consecutive national championships, it was with Glenn Seidel as their starting quarterback. Seidel was also captain of the 1935 team.
Seidel, who also played hockey for Minnesota in 1935 and 1936, also played in the College Football All-Star Game after his senior season.
He won the Western Conference Medal for scholarship and athletic achievement, and the Sports Illustrated Silver Anniversary All-American Award.
