Q: This weekend you’ll potentially get to face some of the best wrestlers in your weight class.. What are your thoughts on that?
A: My thoughts on this weekend are it is just another competition to showcase my skills to the world. Everyone knows Nick Gwiazdowski is one of America’s best wrestlers right now, and I look forward to seeing him in our matchup that should occur Friday night.

Q: Are you looking forward to getting high-level matches in like this right before the collegiate season starts?
A: Yeah, I’m looking forward to it. I think these types of matches in competition like this help me get focused and ready to go for the season ahead.
Q: You said in the BTS interview that sooner or later, your time will come. Do you think this weekend is the start of the Gable era at 125kg?
A: Yes, hopefully the new heavyweight era will begin after this weekend’s match with Gwiazdowski. I’m definitely looking forward to it.
