    • This is the time to take care of one another. Healthy individuals who are feeling well are asked to make an appointment to donate later this month and after by visiting RedCrossBlood.org, using the Red Cross Blood Donor App, calling 1-800-RED-CROSS or enabling the Blood Donor Skill on any Alexa Echo device. Donors are also asked to make an appointment to donate in order to help manage the flow of donors appropriately in support of social distancing practices.

    • Boston Scientific, Medtronic and United Health Group are collaborating with the UMN Bakken Medical Device Center to deliver the Coventor, a ventilator alternative, to market within 30 days of project start.  The device is a single arm robot used to resuscitate patients by continuously pumping a self-inflating bag.  The team is expecting FDA approval in the second half of April.  Boston Scientific has also been donating safety glasses to hospital/health workers at the University/otherwise. Learn more at:  http://www.mdc.umn.edu/

    • Blue Cross has committed $750,000 in support of Second Harvest Heartland's work to deliver emergency food boxes for families facing hunger due to missed work. In addition, Blue Cross, along with several health care providers and community partners, have launched volunteer efforts with Minnesota’s skilled sewing community to make and donate medical masks and special covers that can extend the life of N95 masks.

Moving forward, the company is prepared to make significant emergency funding available to our neighbors in need during this crisis.

    • Providing free flights to healthcare workers that have essential travel needs to combat COVID-19.  Sun Country is encouraging staff to use time within work hours to go complete community service work and have provided several opportunities for staff to sign up.  Sun Country has also donated a number of our onboard snack boxes to Ronald McDonald House.
