2024 Women's Cross Country Year in Review

>> The Gophers improved on their No. 23 ranking heading into the NCAA Championships by finishing 18th as a team. The 18th-place finish is the third time in the last five years that Minnesota has finished inside the top 20 at the national meet.
>> Head coach Sarah Hopkins was named 2024 USTFCCCA Midwest Region Coach of the Year as Minnesota reached the NCAA Championship for the ninth time in her 12 years.
>> Minnesota earned a runner-up finish at the NCAA Regional as four runners – Ali Weimer, Emma Atkinson, Isabelle Schmitz and Izzy Roemer – earned all-region honors.
>> After finishing ninth in 2023, the Gophers placed fifth at the Big Ten Championship as Weimer finished third with a school record time of 19:25.0.
>> Minnesota won the 38th Griak Invitational for the third time in six years as Weimer became the first Gopher since 2018 to take home the individual crown.
