Career Notes: Standout with North Dakota before transferring to Cal in 2024-25 season • All-Summit First Team honoree while at North Dakota • suffered a season-ending wrist injury with the Cal Bears.
2024-25: (California): Played four games for the Bears before being sidelined for the season due to a wrist injury • averaged 10.8 PPG, 3.0 RPG & 1.0 SPG in 26.5 minutes played during his limited time on the court • started the season with three double-figure scoring efforts, including 15 (7 of 13 shooting) at Vanderbilt (Nov. 13) • added 6 rebounds & 2 steals in 31 minutes played vs. the Commodores.
2023-24/2022-23 (North Dakota): Spent two seasons at North Dakota, where he was the team's top scorer both seasons and garnered All-Summit League First Team honors in the 2023-24 campaign • averaged 16.7 points and 4.2 rebounds in that season, all while playing a team-best 35.2 minutes • led the Fighting Hawks in points (535) and blocks (29) while shooting 41.6 percent from the field • scored 20-plus points 13 times, including a career-high 30 points at Kansas City • Posted first career double-double with 21 points & 10 rebounds vs. Elon (Nov. 12) • as a freshman in 2022-23, started in all 33 games for UND, where he posted a team-best 12.1 points per game • also averaged four rebounds and 1.6 assists while scoring in double figures in 22 of 33 games • made an immediate impact defensively, racking up 31 blocked shots to rank among the top 10 in the Summit League.
Prep School/High School: Scored 1,118 points and recorded 398 rebounds in his prep career at Mankato East High School • averaged 22.5 points per game, 7.8 rebounds per game and 3.0 assists per game as a senior • led Mankato East to a third-place finish at state in 2021-22 • recorded a double-double (28 points and 10 rebounds) to go with four blocks in the final game of his prep career • nominated for Mr. Basketball in Minnesota in 2021-22 • gained first-team all-state honors as both a junior and senior • named first-team all-conference during both his junior and senior seasons.
Personal: Full name is Bajedo Omot • Parents are from South Sudan; migrated to the United States in 1998 • majoring in communication studies • has seven siblings, most of which also play basketball • brother, Dunwa, played at Southwest Minnesota State and was an All-NSIC athlete • has a sister that graduated from Minnesota in 2021 • also had a brother that played at Anoka Ramsey Junior College • has two sisters that play basketball at Mankato East.
