  • Competed in three races for the Maroon & Gold with a pair of top-10 finishes while scoring in all three races for Minnesota.
  • Opened the season with a third-place finish at the Oz Memorial (20:18.6) to help Minnesota claim a team title with 24 points. 
  • Posted a new eight-kilometer personal record and a new career high finish with a runner-up finish (25:07) at the Fall Finale to lead the Gophers to a team title with a perfect score of 15. Duerr's second-place finish led all attached runners. 
  • Closed out the season with a 55th-place showing at the NCAA Midwest Regional (32:10.8).
  • Academic All-Big Ten. 
  • Earned third letter in cross country. 
Indoor Track & Field 
  • Competed in the 3,000 meters during the 2019 indoor track & field season with two top-10 finishes. 
  • Fastest time of the season was 8:20.53 at the Iowa State Classic. 
  • Added a fourth-place finish at the Jack Johnson Classic (8:28.95) and a fifth-place performance at the Graduate Classic (8:37.69). 
Outdoor Track & Field 
  • Competed in the 5,000 meters during the 2019 outdoor track & field season with two top-10 finishes. 
  • Ran a 5,000 meter personal record of 14:07.53 to finish fifth at the Duke Invitational. 
  • Finished 10th at the Stanford Invite (14:25.41). 
  • Academic All-Big Ten. 
2017 | REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE SEASON
• Competed in four meets for the Gophers. 
• Opened the year by finishing 16th overall at the IU Open (25:45.2). 
• Finished 79th at the Roy Griak Invitational (27:20.1). 
• Competed in the open race at the Wisconsin Nuttycombe Invitational, finishing 52nd (25:47.6).
• Set a new personal 10-kilometer record at the NCAA Midwest Regional, running 30:29.27 to finish 72nd. 
• Academic All-Big Ten
• Earned Second Letter 

2016 | REDSHIRT FRESHMAN SEASON
• Competed in five races.
• Opened the year with a 21st-place showing at the four-mile Oz Memorial (20:51.7).
• Improved his eight-kilometer personal record in three-straight meets -- finishing 88th at the Roy Griak Invitational (26:25.1), 168th at the Wisconsin Nuttycombe Invitational (25:49.0) and 46th at the Big Ten championships (25:38.3).
• Made his NCAA debut with a 61st-place finish at the 10-kilometer NCAA Midwest Regional (31:33.7).
• Academic All-Big Ten.
• Earned first letter. 

2015 | FRESHMAN SEASON
• Redshirted the 2015 cross country season while competing in two races as an unattached competitor.
• Opened the season at the Oz Memorial with a 15th-place finish and a time of 19:40.6.
• Finished 167th at the Griak Invitational, clocking a 27:49.4.

HIGH SCHOOL
Graduated from Chaska High School in 2015 • six-time all-state honoree (three cross country, three track) • eight-time all-conference honoree (three cross country, three track, two Nordic skiing • finished second at the 2014 MSHSL Class 2A Cross Country Championships behind Gophers classmate Connor Olson • set four school records • earned a total of 12 letters as a prep (four cross country, five track, three Nordic skiing • competed for Nate Foss, Jesse Longly and Kyle Zygarlicke at Chaska High School • earned the AP Scholar Award and was an academic all-state honoree.

PERSONAL
Born Sept. 2, 1996 • native of Chaska, Minn. • son of Sallie and Michael Duerr • has one sister, Anne • father ran track at Minnesota State (1981-95) • lists breaking nine minutes in the 3,200 meters and helping Chaska to its best-ever finish at the state cross country in 2014 as his most memorable sports experiences.
