Chris Rombough is in his second season as the volunteer assistant coach for the Golden Gopher men[apos]s cross country team. Rombough completed a successful Minnesota running career as a six-time All-American. He was the first three-time NCAA cross country All-American in Gopher cross country history and added three national citations in indoor track.

A four-time NCAA Cross Country Championships competitor, Rombough led the 2007 squad to an eighth-place team finish, the third best in Minnesota history. His highest individual NCAA finish was 14th as a sophomore in 2006.

Rombough captured the Big Ten cross country title in 2006. On the track, he won the 2008 title in the 10,000 meters and helped the Gophers to four team titles indoor/outdoor during the 2009 and 2010 seasons.

A native of Fremont, Wis., Rombough graduated from Minnesota in May of 2010 with a coaching/communication studies major.
