    Volunteer Assistant Coach
An alum of the Golden Gopher track & field/cross country program, Adam Zutz returned to the Maroon & Gold as a volunteer assistant coach for the 2018-19 season.
Ā 
Zutz competed for the Gophers from 2011 to 2016. An All-Big Ten First Team and All-Region honoree, Zutz raced in 21 career races in cross country. He placed seventh at the Big Ten Cross Country Championships and 94th at the NCAA Cross Country Championships as a senior. On the track, Zutz competed at four indoor and three outdoor Big Ten Championships, highlighted by a seventh-place showing in the 10,000 meters as a senior. He was a four-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree and a four-year letterwinner for the Gophers.

Along with serving as a volunteer assistant coach, Zutz works as an Associate R&D Engineer for Medivators in Plymouth, Minn., where he designs and documents new mechanical components for endoscope reprocessing equipment. Following his graduation from the University of Minnesota, Zutz worked as a Manufacturing engineer at HID Global for over a year before starting his current position at Medivators in September 2017.

Prior to his time as a volunteer assistant, Zutz volunteered as an instructor for National Youth Leadership Training where he organized daily schedules with activities centered on improving leadership and oversaw small groups to promote learning and teamwork.

Zutz graduated from the University of Minnesota with his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2016.
