GET TO KNOW ALISSA KOCH:
Why the University of Minnesota?

My sophomore year of high school I attended my first softball camp at Minnesota, and following that, I was determined to come here. Eventually my goal grew into a desire to play softball for Minnesota as well.

What is it like to play for Minnesota?
Playing softball for the University is a lot of hard work, but it is worth it. The team is your family, and we push one another everyday to become the best we can be. It is a once in a lifetime experience that I have gained, and I wouldn't trade this time for anything.

Favorite aspect of softball?
That it is a true team sport, and one person can't win the game.

Pregame rituals/superstitions?
Last year, I wore a specific headband, but it broke right after we played South Dakota..

First softball memory?
When I was 6-years old, my brother and I would go outside and play baseball with a tennis ball and bat. First and third were trees, second was a fence post, and if you hit it over the street, it was a homerun.

Game/reality show you would like to be on?
I would love to be on The Glee Project because I love to act, sing and dance. I don't do any of them well, but it would be an awesome experience.

Favorite place to eat in Dinkytown?
Loring Pasta Bar, but I only go there when my parents are intown.

Favorite TV show as a kid?
I love Rugrats when I was little.

Guilty pleasure song?
'Kiss From a Rose' by Seal

Bucket List
Live in another country for any amount of time
Run a marathon
Invent something
Write a children's book
