The 2017-18 season marks Michael Kyllo-Kittleson's fifth season as the softball program's director of operations. Hired as the first Director of Operations in program history back in 2013, Kyllo-Kittleson's responsibilities include general day-to-day program operations and handling all team travel arrangements and meal needs. She is also the team's video coordinator in charge of game film, Right View Pro, opponent film, creating highlight reels, and other content for the team and social media platforms.
Kyllo-Kittleson also assists the team's athletic communications contact, assists heavily in camp coordination, recruiting, adminsitrative duties and more. She played an integral part of Minnesota's resurgence back to national prominence, in a team that won the 2017 Big Ten regular season title, back-to-back Big Ten tournament titles, a Super Regional apperance in 2014 and recieved their first number one national ranking in program history. Most recently at the end of the 2017 campaign, Kyllo-Kittleson and the coaching staff were named the NFCA Midwest Regional Coaching Staff of the Year.
Prior to her hire, Kyllo-Kittleson was a three-year undergraduate student manager for the program from 2010-13 where she earned a varsity letter. She graduated from The University of Minnesota in May 2013 with honors, earning degrees in journalism and sport management. Kyllo-Kittleson is a Minnesota native who attended The Academy of Holy Angels and Henry Sibley High School and was a three-sport athlete (soccer, basketball, and softball). In the off-season, she enjoys spending as much time with family and friends as possible while also volunteering when able and also runs a side photography business.
