2016 • Freshman Season: Ran in six meets this season • recorded a career-best 6K time of 21:54.0 at Jack’s Run to finish third overall • top female finisher at Rocky’s Run in 23:12.5 • finished third overall and second on the team at the Blugold Invitational in 22:51.2.

Before Minnesota: Completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin Madison • competed in both cross country and track & field as a member of the Wisconsin Track Club from 2012-2015 • has completed three marathons: 2013 Grandma’s Marathon (3:33), 2014 Twin Cities Marathon (3:16), and 2016 Boston Marathon (3:03) • owns personal-best marks of 2:25.37 for 800m (2011 Lake Conference Championship), 5:19.02 for 1,600m (2012 Minnesota Section 6AA Finals), 11:36.05 for 3,200m (2012 Eden Prairie Booster Relays), 15:26.7 for 4K (2010 Victoria Lions Invite), 19:01.01 for cross country 5K (2010 Nike Heartland Regionals), 23:14 for 6K (2014 NIRCA Great Plains Regionals), 1:37.53 for half marathon (2012 Gary Bjorklund Half Marathon), and 3:03 for marathon (2016 Boston Marathon) • ran 19:04 for 5,000m on the track at the 2016 Meet of the Un-Saintly.

High School: A 2012 graduate of Eden Prairie High School where she ran for coach Jeff Lindlief • a three-sport letterwinner at Eden Prairie, earning four letters in track & field and three each in cross country and Nordic skiiing • two-time All-Lake Conference honoree in cross country • served as a team captain in both cross country and track & field • ran at 2010 Nike Cross Nationals • played soccer as a freshman at Eden Prairie before switching to cross country as a sophomore.

Personal: Born September 16, 1993 • daughter of Jayme Carlin and Michael Schultz • has two siblings, Natalie and Andy • nickname is Carli • graduated from the University of Wisconsin with her B.S. in rehabilitation psychology and a minor in leadership in December 2015 • graduate student completing a Master’s of Public Health in Public Health Administration and Policy at Minnesota • enjoys spending time with friends and family, doing yoga, and baking banana bread.
