    Volunteer Assistant Coach
Andrew Blaufuss joined the Golden Gopher track & field program as a volunteer assistant coach at the start of the 2019-20 season.
 
Blaufuss joined the Maroon & Gold after a stint at Eagan High School. He served as the sprints coach of the Eagan track & field team for the 2019 season and spent two months as a conditioning coach for the Wildcats. He developed workouts for groups of 10 to 80 middle-school student-athletes competing in basketball, volleyball, football, and dance. Prior to his time at Eagan High School, Blaufuss Walker served as a volunteer assistant coach with the UC-Davis track & field team from January 2013 to May 2014, working with the men’s and women’s sprints group. He also worked as a personal trainer at Davis Athletic Club.
 
A graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Blaufuss earned a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology in 2012. He served as a manager for the Badgers’ track & field team for three years. Blaufuss also became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the National Strength & Conditioning Association in January 2019.
