Eric Dols joined the Golden Gopher track & field program as a volunteer assistant coach at the start of the 2019-20 season.

Dols, a native of Prior Lake, Minn., joined the Maroon & Gold after completing his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at Hamline University in 2019. He was an eight-time All-American and an all-academic honoree while competing as a thrower for the Pipers. Dols served as a chemistry tutor and chemistry teachers’ assistant and conducted research on the effects of antimicrobial peptides on bacterial mimic membranes at Hamline.

Along with his experience as an NCAA Division III student-athlete, Dols served as a summer track & field coach for high school athletes of all experience levels, tailoring techniques for each athlete’s body and athletic ability.
