Adam Kessenich

Adam Kessenich is in his second year as the volunteer coach for the Gopher Volleyball program. Kessenich was previously at the Milwaukee Sting Volleyball Club the past two seasons.
While with the Sting, Kessenich was the boys 17 Gold head coach in 2017 and the Boys 16 Gold assistant coach in 2016. Prior to his time with the Sting, Kessenich also coached at Shorewood High School, where he was the girls varsity assistant coach in 2017 and the boys JV assistant coach in 2016.
Kessenich has over 20 seasons of volleyball experience. He was a four-year varsity player for St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa. A three-year captain, Kessenich was also named the conference’s two-time defensive player of the year and his university’s all-time dig leader.
Kessenich graduated from St. Ambrose in 2016 and received bachelor of science degrees in both mechanical and industrial engineering.
