Joel Larsen is the Live Production Operations Manager for Gopher Athletics at the University of Minnesota. His role involves all video board show staffing, sponsorship fulfillment, equipment and content management along with webcasting of athletic events. In addition to Gopher Athletic events, Joel and the staff in Gopher Digital Productions handle A/V and scoreboard needs for all uses of the Athletic facilities such as the Minnesota State High School league tournaments, many college and high school graduations, premium space rentals and in 2017 & 2018 are hosting the Minnesota United of Major League Soccer for their first two years in the MLS ranks.Â
Prior to joining the University of Minnesota staff, Joel was an administrator with St. Cloud State Athletics where he served in a similar role. He has also held positions with the Northwoods Baseball League, Canterbury Park and FOX Sports.Â
A native of Morris Minnesota, Larsen resides in the west metro with his wife and daughter.Â
