Denver goalie Stephen Wagner stopped a career-high 43 shots as the Pioneers and the Golden Gophers tied 3-3 Saturday night in Colorado Springs, Colo. The teams meet for the rematch tonight in Denver.

Denver jumped out ahead just 4:45 to play in the game when Jon Newman scored. The Gophers responded though with goals from Wyatt Smith, his 12th, and Stuart Senden. Minnesota led 2-1 after one period.

The Pioneers knotted the game at two with a power-play goal from James Patterson at the 7:13 mark of the second period. Minnesota would retake the lead with Mike Lyons' first goal of the season less than two minutes later.

The final goal would come from DU's Newman again. He scored with less than five minutes to play in the second period.

In the third period and the ensuing overtime, neither team was able to find the back of the net as each team captured a point in the standings.

Freshman goaltender Adam Hauser stopped 25 of 28 shots as the Gophers winless streak reached five games.
