Gopher Athletics Ticket Policies
Admittance
For all University of Minnesota Athletic regular season tickets, children 2 and under are admitted free. The child must sit on an adult’s lap. External events, championships, or other special events may require a ticket for all attendees.
Ticket Resale
Minnesota Athletics encourages season ticket holders and fans to transfer or resell individual event tickets if they are unable to attend an event. Fans who wish to resell their tickets are encouraged to do so through SeatGeek, the official fan-to-fan ticket marketplace of Gopher Athletics.
This policy exists to preserve fan access, protect season ticket holder benefits, prevent commercial exploitation of priority access, reduce fraud, and ensure tickets are used by fans attending events.
Tickets may not be purchased primarily for commercial resale, to include season tickets, mini plans and single game tickets. Using season ticket status, Gopher Loyalty Program status, presale access, or loyalty benefits primarily to acquire inventory for resale is expressly prohibited. Tickets may not be purchased primarily for commercial resale, to include season tickets, mini plans and single game tickets. Using season ticket status, Gopher Loyalty Program status, presale access, or loyalty benefits primarily to acquire inventory for resale is expressly prohibited. Minnesota Athletics may consider one or more factors, including patterns of:
-
resale of a substantial percentage of tickets,
-
resale of tickets shortly after purchase,
-
use of multiple accounts, names, addresses, payment methods, or devices to avoid ticket limits,
-
transfers from several unrelated accounts to a single account in an effort to consolidate inventory,
-
listing tickets before purchase, before securing the right to use the tickets, or in a manner inconsistent with applicable law or ticket terms,
-
use of automated tools, or
-
other conduct suggesting tickets were acquired primarily for resale rather than personal, household, business, or guest use.
Should an account exhibit activity consistent with commercial resale, Minnesota Athletics may impose stricter purchase limits, revoke presale access, revoke away/postseason eligibility, cancel specific orders, consolidate accounts, temporarily suspend transfer/resale privileges, reduce, relocate, condition, or decline future season ticket purchases or renewals, or permanently restrict, suspend, or close accounts.
Occasional resale, transfer, or donation due to scheduling conflicts, illness, weather, travel, family needs, or other ordinary reasons will not, by itself, establish commercial resale activity.
Season ticket opportunities, seating locations, parking, presale access, away-game access, postseason access, and Gopher Loyalty benefits are limited, conditional privileges subject to policies, availability, and annual review.
Refunds are subject to applicable law, ticket terms, timing, use of the tickets, whether the order was obtained in violation of policy, and any other relevant circumstances specific to the order or activity on the account. Minnesota Athletics is not responsible for any resale or attempted resale of canceled tickets, including but not limited to fees, penalties or associated charges imposed by secondary market sites.
Season ticket holders who believe their tickets have been revoked in error under this policy may request reconsideration by emailing the Minnesota Athletic Ticket Office at gophersports@umn.edu. All reconsideration requests are reviewed at the sole discretion of Minnesota Athletics, and a response will be provided via email within four (4) weeks of submission. Please note that prior access to purchase season tickets does not guarantee future access and should not be used as a basis for reconsideration. Requests should include all relevant information supporting the position that the tickets were not purchased primarily for commercial resale.

Credit Calculation
The amount of credit for each game will be approximately 80% of the ticket price of your season ticket (excluding additional fees or per-seat contributions), weighted against the single game, in-the-door price for each game. The specific credit amount per game will vary based on the single-game prices.
Event Cancellation / Inclement Weather Policy
If events are canceled or rescheduled, decisions on a refund or exchange policy will be made on an event-by-event basis, and ticket holders will be notified by Minnesota Athletics regarding available options.
