GOPHERS ROUT HAWKS FOR 15TH STRAIGHT WIN

gaMinnesota scored five times in the second period and outshot Wilfrid Laurier 43-9 en route to a 10-0 win and the team's 15th straight victory.
The Gophers, 16-1-1, are unbeaten in their last 16 games, dating back to a 3-1 loss to Harvard, Nov. 5.
Laura Slominski and Jenny Schmidgall led the Minnesota offense with two goals and an assist while Winny Brodt chipped in with four assists and Courtney Kennedy also added a pair of goals.
Erica Killewald stopped nine shots for the Gophers to record her second shutout of the season.
The two teams meet again Saturday, at 7 p.m., at Mariucci Arena in the series finale.
