JOHNSON WINS 800 METERS AT WISCONSIN-STOUT

minJunior Gena Johnson won the 800-meter run to lead the Golden Gophers to fifth place at the Wisconsin-Stout Invitational. Johnson won the event in 2 minutes, 17.77 seconds. Newcomer Jenny Moylan placed fourth in 2:21.64.

Sophomore Stacie Blaskowski placed second in the pole vault with a mark of 8 feet, 11 3/4 inches. Sophomore Rachel Domenichetti placed second in the mile run in a time of 5:23.09. Senior Nikki Rassbach placed fourth in the 5000 in 19:31.84.

The Golden Gophers placed fifth with 48 points. Wisconsin-La Crosse won the meet with 239 points, followed by Wisconsin-River Falls with 128, Carleton with 72 and St. Benedict with 53.50.
