The Gophers, 18-1-1, defeated the Stingers for the second time in two weeks by controlling much of the first period after a slow start.
Killewald stopped 18 shots in the opening 20 minutes but it was Minnesota that got on the board when Nadine Muzerall recorded her 100th career point with her 21st goal of the season at 10:04.
Jenny Schmidgall, who assisted Muzerall's goal, notched her 25th of the season with 3:55 left in the opening period and the Gophers rarely looked back.
Schmidgall gave her team more breating room when she scored nation-leading 26th goal at 2:31 of the second period and Killewald made the lead stand up as Minnesota outshot Concordia 39-23.
The Gophers second game of the tournament sees them playing tournament host and defending national champion New Hampshire at 1:30 p.m. CST.
