wiErica Killewald posted her third consecutive shutout but New Hampshire goalie Alicia Roberts matched her performance as Minnesota skated to a 0-0 tie with the Wildcats in the Citizens Bank Border Battle at the Whittemore Center.

The Gophers looked to get off to a quick start as New Hampshire was penalized for a protocol violation after failing to take the ice on time but were unable to capitalize on the opportunity.

The Wildcats had a great opportunity of their own in the second period as Minnesota was whistled for back-to-back penalties in the first six minutes but, despite getting six shots on goal during the two power plays, were unable to take advantage.

New Hampshire got one more break when they went on the power play with 56 seconds to play in the third period but the Gophers managed to kill their 19th consecutive penalty to preserve the tie.

Killewald posted her second straight 30-save shutout as she recorded 32 against the Wildcats. Roberts had 22 saves for New Hampshire.

Despite snapping a 17-game winning streak, Minnesota, 18-1-2, has a 19-game unbeaten streak and lead the tournament with a 1-0-1 record. The Wildcats, 14-1-5, is 0-1-1 in the CBBB.

The Gophers face the AAA senior Beatrice Aeros at 11 a.m. CST Sunday in their final game of the tournament, needing a win or a tie to clinch the title.
