DEGENER TOPS GOPHER WOMEN DIVERS AT ALL-AMERICAN INVITE

iJunior Rachel Degener placed sixth to pace the University of Minnesota women divers at their competition today at the All-American Diving Invitational in Austin, Texas. Degener, who is in her first season with the Golden Gophers after transferring from BYU, tallied 206.97 points in the open one-meter springboard event.

Other Gophers competing in the one-meter event were T.D. Rowe, who finished 17th with a score of 189.72, and Tracy LaVoi, who placed 32nd with a score of 170.97.

Competition in the All-American Invite continues on Saturday with the three-meter springboard event.

The remainder of the Gopher team hosts the Gold Country Invitational on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the University of Minnesota Aquatic Centers Dorothy L. Sheppard Pool.
